I don’t have a natural talent for languages, can I still learn?

Talent is often overrated. If you are able to read this, you can learn a language! Language learning is more about consistent practice and exposure than any innate ability. Proven techniques such as comprehensible input can make a world of difference. This means surrounding yourself with language content that you can mostly understand but that also challenges you just a bit.

Do I need to know any Spanish before signing up?

No, this course is aimed at absolute to advanced beginners. So whether you have some prior knowledge of Spanish or not, you will make progress during the retreat. Before you arrive, we will ask you to fill in a brief questionnaire to ensure we tailor our lessons to meet your specific needs and proficiency levels, ensuring that you get the most out of your time with us. You will also have plenty of opportunities to have your questions answered.

What can I do to get started learning Spanish now?

The key to learning a language is finding something you enjoy (fun!), that you want to come back to (repetition!) and that is pitched at a level you understand (comprehensible!) and that you’re interested in (compelling!). You could start to immerse yourself by watching TV shows, listening to music, or reading books that match your level. You'll be surprised how quickly you start to pick up new words and phrases effortlessly.

How much is it?

The full price for the retreat is 1750 euros per person (approx. £1477) for a solo room. For a double occupancy room; either double or twin, the full price is 1500 euros (approx. £1266) per person. What’s included?

Luxury 4 star accommodation including breakfast, lunch and dinner for 5 nights in either solo, twin or double occupancy ensuite rooms, 15+ hours of daily language immersion classes with a qualified language teacher with 15+ years experience teaching in Outstanding schools in the UK, as well as a range of cultural activities including a cookery class, a flamenco dance lesson and wine tasting in a local vineyard.

What’s not included?

Flights to and from Spain, one lunch at the beach and travel insurance. We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance to suit your travel needs.

How do I book?

When you’re ready to book we will send you an electronic invoice. You can pay using Visa, mastercard, apple pay etc. Once you have paid the £250 deposit, your place on the retreat is confirmed, subject to terms and conditions. Once you have made a payment, you will receive confirmation via email that your spot is reserved.

You then pay the remaining balance up to 13 weeks or 100 days before the retreat. This is to ensure all bookings are paid for including external partners for activities. The deposit is non-refundable and the remaining balance can be paid off in one lump sum, or if you prefer we can set up a payment plan to suit you e.g. 3 equal payments of the remaining balance over 3 months.
