I don’t have a natural talent for languages, can I still learn?

Talent is often overrated. If you are able to read this, you can learn a language! Language learning is more about consistent practice and exposure than any innate ability. Proven techniques such as comprehensible input can make a world of difference. This means surrounding yourself with language content that you can mostly understand but that also challenges you just a bit.

Do I need to know any Spanish before signing up?

No, this course is aimed at absolute to advanced beginners. So whether you have some prior knowledge of Spanish or not, you will make progress during the retreat. Before you arrive, we will ask you to fill in a brief questionnaire to ensure we tailor our lessons to meet your specific needs and proficiency levels, ensuring that you get the most out of your time with us. You will also have plenty of opportunities to have your questions answered.

What can I do to get started learning Spanish now?

The key to learning a language is finding something you enjoy (fun!), that you want to come back to (repetition!) and that is pitched at a level you understand (comprehensible!) and that you’re interested in (compelling!). You could start to immerse yourself by watching TV shows, listening to music, or reading books that match your level. You'll be surprised how quickly you start to pick up new words and phrases effortlessly.

What’s not included?

Flights to and from Spain, one lunch and one dinner in the local town of Xaló.

How do I book?

Your room will be allocated and your place on the retreat is confirmed. You will then receive confirmation via email that your spot is reserved.

The deposit is non-refundable and the remaining balance can be paid off in one go, or if you prefer we can set up a payment plan to suit you e.g. 3 equal payments of the remaining balance.
